I love PowerShell, in Exchange you called it Exchange Management Shell (EMS), this year I working a lot of request which solvable with EMS that’s why I more in love with it! Red heart

So one of the request is how to find users which is not using default Quota that already assign to Database ? Individually you can check from EMC then go to Mailbox Features tab and you can check Storage Quota whether it have checkmark or not.

Or you can open EMS then execute the following command below :

Get-Mailbox –id krisnais | select DisplayName, *usedatabasequota*

Mine have FALSE flag meaning I’m not using default quota which already assign to Database, if you want to know the entire users, you can give a condition like this :

get-mailbox | where {$_.UseDatabaseQuotaDefaults -eq $False}

Yesterday I’m having an issue, ribbon on my Outlook 2010 is missing, try to repair but still no luck and by creating new profile also didn’t solve the problem.

So my so solution is based on this technet article :

  1. Close Outlook
  2. Go to HKEY_CLASSESS_ROOT\TypeLib\{HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{2DF8D04C-5BFA-101B-BDE5-00AA0044DE52} , my case is 2.5, backup it up.
  3. Delete the key 2.5
  4. Open Outlook again

Now my ribbon back online Smile but somehow CRM Add-in not working right, gonna check it by today.

Forefront TMG Client

Currently I’m in the middle exploring Forefront TMG Client on my environment so I don’t have to configure manually on the browser because it will automatically discover where my TMG Server based on AD & DNS Server settings.

Go to TMG Server > Networking >Networks tab, choose which network you want to configure, my case its Internal network.

Just check Enable Forefront TMG Client support for this network. Entry all the necessary settings and then click Apply Smile

That’s it from the TMG Server side, then go to one of OS Client to install TMG Client, the installer came out on the DVD, at folder \client\MS_FWC.msi. Install normally and leave all the default settings.

Last step is to configure AD by creating object so TMG Client can query the information by using TMGADConfig Tool

it will create object on AD, you can check it here:

From the client side you can test it by executing specific command

That’s it Open-mouthed smile, it’s a wrap! Smile
